Every film deserves its own musical arrangement and tone. In order to achieve this, Thomas Mävers mixes unusual and catchy themes. He plays with our listening habits; sometimes they are served to be broken again. He creates original compositions that make the audience sit up and take notice.
Thomas grew up on the outskirts of Bremen, where culture was limited to the radio and the television; British agent films, Italian westerns and French film noir; the film scores of John Barry, Ennio Morricone, and Michel Legrand never leave him.
Since he had played in countless bands between avant-garde pop and experimental music, it drew him to Berlin. In addition to a work as a film musician Thomas Mävers published numerous pop music albums under the name, TOM KRIMI. After early successes as a duo in STEREO DE LUXE, he released music as a solo artist under "TOM KRIMI" with CD albums under the titles, "lights off" and "why don t we" and works with and for countless colleagues.
Since 2011, the indie pop band "PRAG" is his passion project. He mixes pop music as a composer and arranger with symphonic elements. Some of the music videos are embellished with his own film-musical style.
